Getting round the 40 min limit

100+ Free Timer & Clock Vectors - PixabayIf you’re using the free version of Zoom – meetings automatically end after 40 minutes

To get round this …

Towards the end of the 40 minutes, simply close the meeting, and then restart it (the same meeting, same ID, same link) and everyone can re-join again – you’ll have another 40 mins.

You can do this as often as needed.

  • So, at the beginning of the meeting, tell everyone you’ll take a 5 min break (a good practise anyway) around the 30/40 minute point
  • After 30/40 minutes, close the meeting
  • Then immediately restart the meeting and everyone can join again (click on the same invitation/link)
