How is Zoom Events different from Zoom meetings and webinars?
“Zoom Events” work a little differently from the Zoom Meetings and Zoom Webinars we’re used to.
It provides a conference experience: with multiple sessions, multiple concurrent sessions (workshops) and the ability to run over multiple days. Each individual session is, in effect, a “normal” Zoom Meeting or Webinar that we’re used to using.
But instead of having to have multiple links for each one, people only need one single, simple link to the Event
What does it look like
What can you do in the Lobby
When you join the Event you arrive in the ‘LOBBY’ where you can:
- View all sessions in the event
- Join any of the sessions that are currently in progress
- Bookmark the sessions you’re interested in (visible in your “Itinerary” tab)
- Chat to others in the Lobby
- View Sponsor areas and rooms
How to join an Event
Zoom Events can take a little longer to join, first time in. So join early to ensure you don’t miss an important session.
