Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is transforming how we live and work, but for many of us it can feel overwhelming, technical, or just plain confusing.
What if you could explore AI in a friendly, jargon-free environment, where no question is too basic and no technical background is necessary?

The Climate & Environment – HOPE

With what lies ahead, its not surprising that many of us fall into despair, hopelessness, fatalism or burn out.
‘Hope’ can help us. But what is ‘hope’ and how can we find it? I’m exploring these questions and sharing what I find.

Also, many of us would love to know about ways we could influence real change. There are no easy answers – but occasionally I hear of a really good idea, project or concept with the potential for creating real change, or that supports us to remain positively engaged. But so many people never hear about them.

Sign up and receive occasional mailings on the subject of ‘hope’ and inspiring initiatives to inspire you and help you feel you’re doing more than just recycling, insulating or signing another petition.

I hear of these because of my involvement with a large number of movements, my love of networking, and living in South Devon – with its strong community of activists, creative and forward thinkers (many of whom I know personally) and an abundance of innovative projects, communities and organisations (for example Schumacher College, Embercombe, Transition Towns, WildWise).

For example - the CEE bill

Have you heard about …?

CEE bill imageThe Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill

Drafted by scientists, legal experts, ecological economists and environmentalists, the CEE Bill requires the UK to take responsibility for its fair share of greenhouse gas emissions, to actively restore biodiverse habitats, and to stop damaging our natural world through the production, transportation and disposal of the goods we consume.

The Bill (as of Sept 21) has support of 115 MPs across 8 political parties. Short video explaining the CEE bill [1.36 mins] – as of Mar 21

I know of two initiatives that will help this Bill pass into law and sooner rather than later.

Massimo photoWho am I?

Apart from my main career as IT professional (providing database, website and other systems solutions and face-to-face and online training) …

… I am also passionate about my grandchildren, and the climate and environmental crises.

I have been involved with a number of movements and organisation over many years, from local to international.

I have lived in South Devon since 1999 – with its strong community of activists, creative and forward thinkers, and rich abundance of innovative projects, communities and organisations: such as Schumacher College, Embercombe, Transition Town Totnes (one of the first), WildWise.

My main strengths are as a communicator, networker, facilitator/trainer/leader, coach, initiator  and systems & detail thinking.
