Other issues

We try to keep our prices as low as possible. This means that any extra work we need to do because of particular issues, we have to charge for.
Wherever possible, we quote beforehand. Issues may include:

Short timescales/deadlines: for example, you need the database in a short time scale or have a major mailing or event running soon after installation.

Unusual data structure or use of contactLINK: for example, you might be dealing with families rather than organisations and individuals.

Complex data or multiple data sources: for example, your data is in a complicated database or is coming from five different spreadsheets.

We’ll discuss your needs with you and give you a clear quote
Tailor-made reports Occasionally you may need a report that is not available in contactLINK. In this case we will quote and then design it for you.

Other support
This includes problems related to the hardware (equipment) or MS Windows or MS Office or MS Access or if your system does not match the required specifications or if the system fails after upgrading your copy of Access without prior agreement with us.

Terms and conditions

  • VAT is NOT chargeable
  • All prices and rates are for voluntary and not for profit organisations (others on request)
  • All prices and rates are valid until end of 2017

Definitions

Number of concurrent users: The maximum number of people using the system at any one time, NOT the number of PCs the system is loaded on or available from. Although, for most organisations, this will be the same.

One-off Purchase Cost: This is a one-off payment and buys you a copy of contactLINK, plus:

  • Documentation
  • Access to all contactLINK support areas on the web site
  • Installation of up to 5 copies of contactLINK

Yearly Support Cost: A yearly payment and provides support for contactLINK. Compulsory for the first year, then you choose whether to extend your cover.

  • Free support for problems with contactLINK *
  • Free one-off reports as they become available **
  • Free advice on how to use contactLINK most effectively in your organisation ***

* This does not include problems caused by the hardware (equipment) or MS Windows or MS Office or MS Access or if your system does not match the required specifications or if the system fails after upgrading your copy of Access without prior agreement with us.

** When requested for a tailor-made report we will charge for the work to be done – see below. However, once a report has been produced it will then be available to all other users free of charge

*** We’ll listen to what you currently do and then point you in the direction of which contactLINK features would best serve you and, if contactLINK needs to be customised, tips on how to do this. This is not training. Training is step by step instructions on how to use contactLINK features (click here for our training page).
