Massimo has more than 12 years database design experience and over 30 major database systems to his credit.

He also has over 16 years experience of working with and in the voluntary sector. This includes:

• 4 years with London Voluntary Service Council
• 6 years training voluntary sector workers in computer skills
• founder of the Computer Support Workers Forum (now being run by NCVO)

System designer and client support

Andy has 18 years experience of systems development experience on small and large scales. He has developed several database systems for small organisations, and also worked on large team-based projects in the public sector.

In 2004 he developed the Full Cost Recovery electronic template in 2004, which was purchased by over 5000 organisations in the UK. He also managed the development of an updated version of this software in 2008, and continues to support ACEVO regarding project cost forecasting for the sector.

He was a founder member of A&R Organic Veg co-op and Brixton Local Exchange Trading System. He now has two children and lives in a small community in Devon.

System designer and client support

Alan has been developing Access databases for 8 years.

He also has an independent computer support business serving the South Devon area. His experience goes back to the late 1980's, when he began using computers while living as a Buddhist monk in an international Buddhist organisation.

He currently works closely with many charitable organisations including the United Reform Church West Midlands and South-Western Synods, and the Barn Owl Trust.

He has his own IT website Calm IT and also runs the newly successful, inspirational website www.zenmoments.org "the great power of small things".

Dave works mostly (but not exclusively) with .NET technologies to create desktop applications, rich internet applications and websites.

He has over 18 years experience of working in and with the voluntary sector including:

• Creating bespoke desktop & online software tools, for example: the Capacity Manager – which enables organisations to evaluate how well their internal support services are working (shares many features with the planned Impact Toolkit) and the Business Plan Writer – helping organisations create a business plan
• Developing websites
• Offering business support services to small and micro businesses

Abel has created financial and stock allocation systems, an event and room booking system and a time allocation system. Clients have included the Croydon Drop in Centre, Lifeline and HAI.

Abel currently lives in Shanghai with his wife Lorna and son Asher. He is also a fiction novelist and has set up a business to teach relationship skills to Chinese adults.

In the past he has run a building contracting and interior design business and a business manufacturing and hiring waterbirth tubs which he franchised before selling.
